Today I February 17, 2015. The post below was a draft I started in March 2014. I never finished it; maybe due to laziness or just sheer exhaustion. Grief, especially compounded grief which is one loss after another, can wear you out spiritually, emotionally and physically. As I write these words tonight, USA time 12:28 am, I am in mourning yet again as a Mother in Christ has passed away a few days ago from pneumonia. Before the end of last year after the grief of losing a cousin, friend and an uncle, another cousin was kidnapped and brutally murdered by a police officer. She was only in her early twenties.
My heart is most sad when people die without bathe Lord. They are doomed and without anymore hope. Having rejected God's plan of salvation, JESUS His Son's death on the cross, and His shed blood as the payment for our sins, they will face an eternity in torment, doom and everlasting separation from God. My God! If you don't know JESUS CHRIST the Son of God as your savior and Lord, and do not believe He died to pay got your sins and have not received His atoning blood to government your sibs and forgive you , you will never have that chance again after death. The Bible says after death is the judgement. You don't have to face God's judgement when God has offered you His mercy! Please receive His mercy, His love for you. God loves you. He loves me and He saved me. I'm so glad I have Him and eternal life. I'm sad but I'm saved. I can experience His love, peace and joy in spite of the losses because I have Him, JESUS my Lord. JESUS is the door.
March 2014 I wrote these words below (with new edits today):
Today there is much morning as I have lost a brother in Christ who was 47 years old when he went home to be with the Lord. Three days later I lost my uncle a much older man who had a full life who passed away before 12 o'clock noon on Monday March 3rd 2014. What can we say to these things? That if we are in Christ who is our only comfort and Redeemer and the only one who shed His blood on the cross reconciling us back to God, then we still have life abundantly here on earth and eternal life in heaven. This is our only hope when we have to look at the ravages of death in the face multiple times. Our only hope is Salvation through Jesus Christ the only hope for this world and after we too leave this earthly plain.
I have cried more tears than I can count but thankful to the Lord that He gave us tear ducts so we would have a way to express physically what what is in the heart when we lose loved ones. I rejoice at the funeral of my brother in Christ who knew the Lord by His profession. I'm going to a wedding on on Saturday. I'm going to sing and shout the victory that he has won in Christ, a race won and completed. I can't attend my uncle's funeral but He also knew the Lord Jesus. The only hope for this world and after you leave this world, is do you know JESUS and foes He know you. This is the eternal question that must be answered before it too late.
"Thank you Father God for JESUS and The Holy Spirit. Thank you for salvation in Your Son and for comfort in these trying times. I'm so grateful that pain is not the end of the journey if we know you."
Love your daughter Verinda
